Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park completes largest refurbishment in 117-year history

On Monday next week the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park will once again fully re-open its doors after the largest refurbishment in it’s 117 year history; the long-awaited launch comes after a devastating fire, which swept through the five-star hotel in the Summer of last year.

We take a look around the luxurious new interiors before the first guests start checking in…

The hotel re-design blends influences from its peaceful park-side location with touches of glamour, referencing the early 20th Century’s Golden Age of travel.

All 181 guest rooms and suites are now more luxurious and comfortable than ever before, with art deco-inspired features including carefully curated artworks and custom-designed furniture.

The newly created Mandarin and Oriental Penthouses can be interconnected to create one of London’s largest suites with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a private dining room, two kitchens, and expansive views of Hyde Park and the London skyline.

The newly refurbished Spa re-opened in December last year and features 13 individual treatment rooms, an Oriental Suite with two massage beds and a Rasul water temple, and a room designed for traditional ASANTE Chinese Medicine consultations and treatments.
